Doing spelling on the tables.

Today in class we did our spelling on our tables, we got to write all over them with pencil like graffiti, it was lots of fun and to clean them we got use shaving cream, it was all over the tables and we got to write whatever we wanted to write in them, at the end we had to rub it into the table so they were clean, it was lots of fun and I can’t wait for the rest of the week because it’s it the last week of the school year and we will do lots of fun stuff!!!!!

Christmas holidays

Guess what everybody there is only one and a half weeks of schooooooool left yay!!!
I can’t wait for the holidays I am going to Echuca to my holiday house for four weeks, the best bit is water skiing and tubing and I sort of can’t wait to give cricket a break we have only won one game.

Christmas In Australia!!!!

Christmas in Australia is quite fun, my family usually goes to Echuca for 4 weeks, and we go water skiing and play tennis every morning, we have our own boat to go tubing wake boarding and the best of all slalam skiing which is skiing on one, Echuca is on the border of Victoria and there is a bridge to cross to get across the border to New South Wales.
Normally on Christmas morning we get up and wake our parents up and we open the presents, soon after that it is 28 degrees outside so we usually go for a swim.
Before we got to Echuca though we have our own Christmas party our whole family goes and we swap presents with them,
The food we eat is just the same what we eat during the year but we have more bbqs, most Australians love to watch the boxing day test Australia play on the 26th of December every year, for those people who don’t no cricket is a game with a bat and ball two pairs of stumps and its one of Australia’s most loyal sports.
In Australia we don’t have snow we just have warmth and the great summer fun I can’t wait for Christmas and it would be great if you could leave a comment on my blog about your Christmas wherever you live.

Swimming sports!!!

last Friday our school had our house swimming sports, the houses that competed are Bass Sturt Mitchell and Flinders, I competed in 5 events and they were Freestyle Backstroke Breathstroke and I competed in two relay events and I am happy with what I finished I got two thirds and a second overall it was a very enjoyable day.

Remebrance day!!!

Today in class our teacher taught us a little bit about remembrance day, we had a sheet telling us about all the information, we learnt about a poem called ‘In Flanders Field’, the words in the poem are to help remember the people who fought for our country and about Flanders field and the poppies.
And one of the main things is the two minute silence, we have it every year on the 11 hour of the 11 month of the 11 hour.
It would of been so frightening being at the war and i think the ‘In Flanders Field’ is a great poem.

Donuts

Today for maths we did an activity using donuts, we had 3 tables with different amounts of donuts, on one of the tables it had three donuts on another had 2 and the other one had 1.
The activity was meant to help our grade with our fractions and we had ten people at a time doing it, all the kids sat out in the corridor waiting for the turn and when you got into the room you chose a table.
If you choose the table with three donuts they would get a fifth, if there were 3 people on the table of two you would get two thirds, and finally if there were two people on the donut with only one donut you would get a half, but thats just the example.
When it came around to my turn i had to think about what table would give me the most amount of the donut, you had to use fractions to figure out which table you would get the most so you got to eat the most amount of it.
I was really lucky thanks too my teacher he let me have two turns when most people only got one, all together I got myself around 1and bit donuts.

Thanks to our teacher who let us use donuts when he could of just made us use paper it made the task better and enjoyable.

Fitting people into a square meter.

Today we had a square meter on our basketball court made in tape, we had to try to fit as many people as possible to fit in our square.

MY SPORT!!!

I play 3 different sports and I love them all, They are AFL Cricket and Basketball, I play footy during the winter I play Cricket in the summer and its Basketball all year round.
The good things these sports do to my health are, they keep you fit and active, Also they help you socialize and make new friends, And best of all their lots of………FUN!!!
